Ram Navmi
Lord Vishnu took the seventh avtaar named Shri Ram who killed Ravan, the evil king, on the 9th day of chaitra, sometime in the month of April-hence the day in celebrated as Ram Navmi. On this day prayers are offered in the temple. As Lord Ram was born at exactly 12 noon, the puja starts from the same time. On this day all the Hindus take early morning bath and then goes to nearest temple of lord Ram to worship him. |
